Jim has been with Qualtim since March 2006 and has over 18 years of experience in the fields of engineering, construction, manufacturing, quality assurance, testing, and wood science and technology. Jim currently serves as the Director of Technical Services for Qualtim and is responsible for activities, including: the development of educational programs, technology transfer, structural building component business consulting and marketplace development, nondestructive testing and forensic evaluations, and code review and development.
Jim is a registered Professional Engineer in Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin and has a BS degree in Forestry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and MS degrees in Materials Science and Engineering - Wood Technology Section and Civil Engineering - Structures Emphasis from Washington State University. Previously, Jim has served as theTechnical Director for TimberCo Inc., Engineer for Brunsell Lumber and Millwork's Component Division, Senior Professional for Qualtim Technologies International, and Engineer for Trus Joist MacMillan.
Jim and his wife, Laurie have been married for over 25 years and are blessed with three children, David, Danny and Heidi. |
