Kirk founded Qualtim, Inc., a technical marketing firm in 1989.
Qualtim’s field of work focuses on structural building components and includes association management, as well as product evaluation and testing, marketing and product development, development of product brochures, evaluation of fire performance of engineered wood products, and forensic engineering.
Specifically, Kirk serves as the Executive Director of WTCA (www.sbcindustry.com) and spends a large portion of his time traveling and making educational presentations on behalf of this international organization.
Kirk has extensive experience in quality assurance, product testing, market research, sales, seminar presentations, international business development, and business management. He is a registered Professional Engineer and has a MBA degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Previously, Kirk worked as a Technical Representative for Trus Joist MacMillan, VP International Division of PFS Corporation, Director of Technical Services for PFS Corporation, Research and Development for Truswal Systems Corporation, Computer Programmer and Technician for Forest Products Laboratory (Wisconsin), and Staff Research and Development Engineer for P.H.
