Jill joined the Qualtim team in February 2000 after working as an assistant general manager at a hotel. She has a BA in International Studies/East Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. After college she lived in Japan and worked in the Japanese school system, teaching English to elementary and junior high school students.

When she is not organizing events, Jill is avoiding cow pies. Jill and her husband, Brian own and operate a 300-cow dairy farm on about 280 acres of land in Watertown, Wisconsin. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Katelyn (daughter) and rambunctious puppy, Jack.
